This pot/pan exceeded my expectations. Yes, the titanium is very thin, but its perfectly adequate for ultralight backpacking as long as you take a bit of care not to sit or fall on it. As with ALL titanium pots, you should use a very low heat setting on your stove, and therefore alcohol stoves are not the best option unless you don't mind lifting the pot every few seconds to keep from scorching your food. The nonstick however does a good job if you treat it gingerly and don't apply too much heat. Heat transfer is VERY fast. I literally cooked two small pancakes in about 20 seconds, scrambled and egg in about 30 seconds, both without any burning. Water boil times with 2 cups are fast as well...about 2 mns with an isobutane style stove. Do not use metal utensils, and find a nice little plastic or possibly wood spatula (like the Bear Grylls style which works great for me) to quickly scrape the bottom of the pot/pan while cooking and cleaning. Clean up is very quick, and if you do it right, you really don't need anywhere near the scrubbing of a regular pot without the nonstick surface. In many cases you can just rinse it and go. Superlight design and the handles are reasonably functional.I was able to fix about anything I wanted in it and I'm a big eater. I fixed a 6.4 oz noodle pack plus a 7 oz. chicken pack, plus a few veggies and still didn't boil it over the top. Perfect size for a big eater or two light eaters.I plan on giving an update once I've had the pot for awhile and logged more miles with it. But so far so good. Yes, its quite a bit more expensive, but it had all the features I wanted, including the low sidewalls instead of the taller, deeper designs on the market. The only improvement I would look for is a locking lid or strap to keep it tight together with the pan lid. But, all in all, a very nice set.I am surprised not to see more reviews for this product. Before I ordered DX3 pot, I spent quite some time researching options online, checking out a variety of pots in local stores, and even ordered a different brand pot, just to return it the next day.For me, this pot is a no-brainer...as long as you keep in mind that this pot is designed for a specific use and understand that as such comes with certain compromises. The pot is made for backpacking - so the primary design goal was saving weight while still keeping the basic functionality, and Evernew achieved that goal. Pot walls are thin, and if you toss it around or put it on the bottom of your pack and then slam your pack on the floor - you will damage the pot...but as long as you are careful, it will serve you well for a very long time. I am definitely not one of the minimalist backpackers, so I like this 1.3L size. It's big enough to heat up water for tea/coffee for a few friends, and big enough to fit an 8 ounce gas container, stove, and my squishy bowl/cup set...Non-stick coating has served me well so far (took it to six 2-3 day backpacking trips already), and there are no scratches or peels - and there won't be any as long as you take a good care of it; i.e. no metal utensils, or loose metal objects inside (I usually insert gas container inside of my squishy bowl before putting it the pot). Aside from heating water, I used the pot to cook some instant noodles - again, without problems or food sticking to the bottom...but again - you have to be considerate and not blast the stove at full power - use simmer setting and you'll be fine. All lightweight Ti cookware has the major disadvantage of not conducting heat well. Things tend to scorch and burn. I bought this cook set because it advertized "non stick" coating which I thought would make it easier to clean. I was very disappointed in the coating. On one occasion when I was cooking some noodles over low heat, they suddenly burned and stuck to the bottom of the pot. I was never able to clean the residue off completely without ruining the coating. The rubber tubes on the handles slide around freely and leave hot spots. You can burn your hand if you aren't careful. Ti cookware is necessary to save weight, but the non stick coating on this set is a failure. The extra cost was not worth it! You're better off with a plain Ti surface that you can scour clean.----------------UPDATE 12/2/2014I returned this set for a refund, and had to pay a 25% fee. Nothing I wrote before has changed, except that now I have reason to believe that the set I received did NOT have a NON-STICK COATING at all, rather than a coating that did not work. Why? I recently viewed a picture of this same set (same part number and overall appearance) advertised on a different web site, showing the insides of the pots. These pictures clearly showed a BLACK color inside the pots and not the uniform titanium color (inside and out) of my set. This makes me suspect that my set was probably not coated at all. I believe I was deceived. If I had only known that there was NO n/s coating on my set, I would have felt free to keep using it and simply scour out the stuck on food, rather than trying to save some delicate coating that was not even there! I might add that the company showing the black coating inside the pots had bold-faced warning messages that they would NOT honor returns at all, if the coating was scratched in any way.At first, these creeped me out since they seemed so flimsy, like a soda can. Instead, they seem to work well and are LIGHT. I know the ceramic coating is tough, but I still wrap my Apex stove in something as I put it inside these pots. I use both a coleman-fuel apex stove and an alcohol stove, but I may but a second set so I don't have to keep switching. Clearly, the deeper pot is more useful than the fry pan, but they will nest into one another, or act as a 'lid' and form a package...very clever.Wow... this is a great lightweight backpacking set. I have not used it yet so cannot comment on the no stick surface but it does look like it will do the trick. As with any lightweight set .... I know I will need to be careful about high heat ... however the advantage is that the larger pot is definitely big enough to make meals for at least 2 people ... so a very good size! Happy with this purchase!110のカセットとEPIのストーブ(REVO)とカセットの足などを入れてちょうど収まるくらいの大きさです。
