I built a large vacuum chamber using this with some aluminum brazing rods and KF flange fittings and cooling line tubing brazed on around it.It works great, holds vacuum without distortion.The lid (which can be purchased separately) is not thick enough, though. Not as "heavy duty" as the pot. So you will need to find or cut a suitably sized circle from 3/8" or thicker aluminum plating and use that for the lid instead (make a gasket with silicone).
