A few years ago, my mother bought me a pot which ended up being the perfect size and shape. I don't know much about pots, but it was the PERFECT pot. Until....The knob came loose.The screw needed replacing, which despite several attempts with closely fitting screws, I just could not find the right fit. I thought I would have to say goodbye forever to my favorite pot. I did not know that replacement knobs were even something that could be purchased until my friend saw my poor pot, sitting on the counter, which is the place of "taking to the recycling center after I use it one more time." My friend told me to buy a new pot, calling me a cheapskate. Then I told her how much I really loved it, but I kept burning my hand by trying to take off the lid without a knob. Some may believe this is analogous to staying in a long distance relationship (the pleasure of being together - always with the pain of knowing it has to end).Then, friend said the smartest thing EVER! She told me to buy a new knob, which I did, obviously. It's the one you are contemplating as a purchase. As a grateful reviewer, all I can say about the knob, is it's much better than the original - because it's ON and staying ON. It's secure, and it looks just like it did (does) in the picture.
