I love how big it is, I can finally steam a whole fish without coming up with some random contraptioni have used it once and after cleaning still looks new highly recommentWell built out of thin and light well polished 304. Haven't had any discoloration or rust issues which is very suprising considering how hard my water is. Bottom is thick enough holds a steady heat and heats up quick. Steam is channeled well through all layers to vent holes in lid. Lid is easy to see through. Honestly my only gripe is how long it took me to dig little bits of the packing plastic wrap out of the rolled edges of the tray inserts. Product itself is perfect and steams great. Bamboo steamer is now an herb pot.The steamer is well designed and constructed. All of my pots and pans are copper core stainless steel from AllClad. This steamer is somewhat lighter for stainless steel, but only time will tell on about the overall quality. As with any product of value I recommend acquiring an extended warranty as I did with this steamer pot.Easy to use and spacious for steaming a lot of foodI have never owned or used a steamer before. Therefore, my concerns about the structural integrity of the steamer may be an overreaction.I have included photos to show the condition of the inside and outside of my pot after using it for the first time on a gas stove.Is it normal to have the unsightly and permanent discoloration after first use?Likes:• It looks like a beautiful steamer pot in my kitchen. The stainless steel is nice and shiny.• The pot is easy to use and seems to do a good job.• The clear viewing window at the top of the steamer is an excellent feature.• I like the fact that it has three levels to steam different types of food. I think it makes sense to steam meat on the lower level, veggies on the middle, and Chinese pork buns on the top. However, you have the flexibility to just use one or two levels if you just want to steam a single food item.Dislikes:• I’m concerned about the structural integrity of the steamer. The round steamer levels are somewhat flimsy. You will need to be careful when you wash them to make sure you don’t bend them.• The staining at the bottom of the pot (inside and outside) could suggest trouble in the future.• Food located near the side walls of the steamer did not seem to cook as well as food in the middle. This may mean that you have your best success locating your food over the perforated holes on the steamer levels.Let me tell you, I love the space within each chamber. It allows you to put a nice size bowl in there for steamed. And I like to steam leftover food. To me steaming is better than microwave leftover. Anyway, I have purchased many steamer. Most of them, each chamber was too low, so you can't have food mounted over the bowl. Then, your lid will touch your food. This one doesn't.Also, I like to leave water in the water chamber. Some steamer get rustic. This one doesn't. I have used dishwasher to clean the bottom chamber. And it came out shiny.This pot can be used for multiple things.Steamer arrived quickly and as described. Constructed from stainless steel with a reinforced base on the bottom and viewing window on the top. Worked well on first use so now just need to see how it lasts. Good design enables it to be packed away compactly.Baught the 30cm one. Really big enough for us. It is as what it says think bottom, not too heavy, thick glass top. Good quality. Tried it immediately. Just like the design. Definitely recommend it.Fantastic steamer and does exactly as it should doThe quality of stainless steel is very poor. It leaves so many lack and white stains as shown in the photos. Very disappointed for what it was priced. Happy with steamer size which was the biggest one.Very happy with my purchase . Good quality steamer , good size as well !
