I love this! I have one myself and I have given two away as gifts. Everything I've made using this stock pot turns out great! From delicate soups and sauces to hardy stews and simple pasta dishes, this is perfect. Beautiful and easy to clean.I own this stock pot in 3 sizes. Heats up really fast on my outdoor induction cook top. It isn't hard to clean, but be aware that if you burn something, or have a hard residue left from frying, do yourself a favor and let it soak for a few hours. My son wanted and 8 quart stock pot. I thought this would be an arm and a leg but was very reasonably priced. He loved the color and quickly put it to good use. Well made. Just what he wanted.I wanted a sturdy, enameled 10-qt stock pot for broth and stock making--didn't like the idea of doing a 24+-hour simmer in a stainless steel pot due to possible leaching. I love my Le Creuset enameled iron cookware--I'm still using a couple of pieces from 1978! That enamel has held up to some serious cooking (and occasional scorched, burned-on messes). But the iron dutch ovens are too wide and shallow for my needs. So I was happy to find this pot a couple of years ago. It's sturdy, feels heavy-duty (though not like iron, of course), and served me well until a recent cross-country move, when it apparently got banged on an outside bottom corner (I had a criminally negligent moving company, but that's another story), which chipped enamel off of that corner but also caused a chunk of enamel to chip off of the interior at the same spot. Bummer. But I can't blame the pot or Le Creuset. Given how many of my items were damaged and broken during the move and the fact that the movers even chipped some exterior enamel off of one of my LC iron dutch ovens, it's says something about this stock pot that it only suffered a chip and wasn't seriously dented. But I can't use the pot with exposed, corroding steel on the interior, so I'm here to get me another one. That's how perfect this pot is for my needs.I have invested thousands in Le Creuset cookware and have generally been happy with it. I purchased the 12-quart stock pot twice: the first time was less than two years ago at a Le Creuset store and the most recent time was about two months ago from Amazon. This recent purchase was for two reasons: 1) I wanted a discontinued color that was available through an Amazon vendor and 2) I had returned my original pot to Le Creuset because it had pitted in multiple places on the outside and was pitting in the same places on the inside and was rusting. A definite defective item, given that I only boil water on a gas stove in this pot for family pasta dinners.Le Creuset is supposed to stand behind the quality of their products and what I expected to receive back from them was the identical item in either my first or second color choice or something of similar value if the 12 quart is no longer available. What I got in return was a 6-quart stock pot. I have sent an email to Le Creuset asking essentially "Seriously? What gives?" but have yet to receive a reply. So "for now" I'm giving this item three generous stars and am thankful I purchased my new 12 quart from Amazon. I'm hoping it holds up better than the last one did and am waiting to see what Le Creuset does. Stay tuned! Hopefully I will come back with two thumbs up for Le Creuset's service rather than two thumbs down....Great product and shippingHonestly, I bought the product for its color a perfect bright blue called Marseille. I'm picky about color, and no one else makes a blue like this one ! I couldn't wait to use it, and have made many pots of soup and cooked many noodles for pasta in it. It's not too heavy to lift, and the finish remains easy to clean. I keep it on the stove top for its beauty and also for readiness for the next meal.SUPER fast shipping from seller. Well boxed. Pot was in original "store" box, within another larger box, surrounded by large plastic 'pillows'.Pot is in perfect condition. No chips or scratches. Color is vibrant and actually is somewhat ombre. Goes from darker to lighter as it rides up the pot.Actually very pretty and professional looking. You can see the coloring better if you look at the photo that has the pot on the stove. That is the TRUE coloring, but a bit more red, not rust colored. And NOT dull colored. But also not the bright cherry red in the single pot photo.Heavy for it's size and the lid fits well. Knob seems secure. Inside the pot is 'clean' and nice. No scratches or blobs or mars.Haven't cooked with it yet because it's actually for my daughter's first dorm/apartment. But she appreciates the fact that this is a nice pot, made by a good company that she will probably keep many years. Not some cheapo aluminum dorm pot. Note though that this is not a big pot for boiling pasta or making soup for a large family. Perfect for people who cook for themselves only, or for a few people. Perfect. Love it. Want one for myself. Decent price for LeCreuset.Bought it for my son and he loves itWe washed this pot in LeCreauset cleanser with a soft cloth, let it air dry and put it on the shelf. Today, I' m over by the pot and there are tens of blue enamel chips all over the shelf! this pot was treated like a baby kitten, not even used once and it's already falling apart. I ignored all the bad reviews because I didn't think anything could be so shoddy. this is my 10th LC piece and it's not like the others. Just awful. Save up towards a dutch oven or buy a Cuisinart stainless steel stock pot! It's big, and it's colourful... and in it's own right, it's just fine as a stockpot if you treat it properly. Remember it's enameled so it will chip if you knock it around too much. But, I'm not sure the enamel adds anything for it's intended use other than making it more fragile. Also, this is not the le cruset you might think you're getting, it is made in Asia not France. It's big, and it's colourful... and in it's own right, it's just fine as a stockpot if you treat it properly.
